I’m a first-generation Thai and Filipino bridal hair & makeup artist living on Maui, who grew up in Southern California 🥰

My dad immigrated from the Philippines as a young teen and when he turned 18, he joined the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Thailand, he met my mom, and they later married there before moving to the United States. They eventually settled in Southern California and had two daughters, my older sister Brenda and me.

Growing up, I was much more connected to my Filipino side of the family since most of them lived nearby in California, while my Thai family remained in Thailand. Even so, my parents made sure I stayed connected to my Thai roots in meaningful ways. I grew up eating incredible homemade Thai food, visiting Thai temples, and gaining small glimpses into Buddhism and Thai traditions.

Because of this, my identity has always been a blend of both cultures. Some parts deeply familiar, others that I’m still learning and exploring.

That blend of culture and connection is something I carry into my work as a bridal hair & makeup artist too. I love helping women feel beautiful, confident, and celebrated while honoring their features, traditions and stories that make each person unique.
