Twelve years ago today, I graduated from . These past 12 years have been the hardest, most incredible, frustrating, and rewarding of my life.

Lately, though… I’ve been burned out.

The kind that makes what you love feel heavy and leaves you with nothing left to give. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t enter the Rainbow Convention or One Shot, not because I don’t care, but because I needed to step back. I’ve also been slowing down on social media, giving myself permission to create without the pressure to constantly produce or prove.

After 12 years of pouring into others, it’s time to pour back into myself.

I’m still here. I still love hair. I still believe this is where I’m meant to be. I just need to find that spark again.
