🎬 What if your business journey became a movie?

I decided to have a little fun with ChatGPT and asked it to turn my business journey into a movie. 😂

And honestly… some of it felt a little TOO accurate.

There’s the woman who spent decades building a career.
The woman who retired.
The woman who wondered, “What’s next for me?”
And then there’s the woman who decided she wasn’t finished learning, growing or contributing.

The plot?
Learning a whole new digital world at this stage of life.

The biggest plot twist?
Realizing I’m not starting over.

I’m bringing everything I’ve learned with me. ❤️

And apparently, my movie has a little bit of drama, a little comedy, and a whole lot of reinvention. 😉

🎬 So tell me… if your life or business journey were a movie, what would you call it?

Drop your movie title in the comments. I’d love to read them!

I love Toronto. ❤️ It’s home.

I’ve lived in the Toronto area for most of my adult life, and there’s just something about this city that will always feel special to me.

But I’m curious…

Have you ever been to Toronto? 🇨🇦
What did you think of it?

Tell me your favourite thing about Toronto in the comments! 👇

Maybe you’re not behind. Maybe you’re just in the middle of the process.

I remind myself of this often.

When you’re trying something new, it’s easy to look around and wonder…

“Why isn’t this happening faster?”

I’ve had those moments too.

But I’m learning that building something meaningful takes time.

You keep showing up.
You keep learning.
You keep making small adjustments.
And you keep going—even when the results aren’t obvious yet.

That’s consistency.

And honestly? Sometimes patience is the hardest part.

If you’re in a season of building, learning, or reinventing yourself, don’t give up just because it isn’t happening as quickly as you hoped.

Your next chapter doesn’t have to happen overnight.

💗 If you’re a woman 50+ figuring out what’s next, follow me. I share the real conversations, lessons and experiences that come with reinventing yourself.

And tell me below: Are you learning to be more patient with your own journey?

The older I get, the more I realize how valuable peace really is.

These days, I don’t need a busy calendar to feel like I’m doing enough.

I enjoy a quiet morning with my coffee.
A walk.
Dinner with my husband.
Time with my family and grandchildren.
A good conversation with someone who is genuine.

And I’ve become much more protective of my peace.

I don’t have the same interest in drama, negativity, or pretending anymore.

Maybe that’s one of the gifts of getting older.

You start to understand what really matters to you… and what simply doesn’t.

For me, it’s freedom, flexibility, fulfillment — and living this next chapter on my own terms.

What about you?

What’s something you value more now than you did 10 or 20 years ago?

“But Delia… I’m just not techy.”

I hear this a lot.

And honestly? I understand it.

When I first started learning about digital business, there were plenty of things I didn’t know.

Apps.
Funnels.
Websites.
Social media.
AI.
All the terminology that can make you feel like everyone else got the manual except you. 😂

But here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t need to know everything before you begin.

You need to be willing to learn.

And that’s a very different thing.

The technology is a tool.
It’s not the business.

The business is about people.

Connecting.
Communicating.
Learning how to market.
Building relationships.
Following a system.
And having support while you learn.

I didn’t start because I was tech-savvy.

I started because I was curious enough to learn something new.

And I’m still learning.

So if you’re 50+ and thinking,
“I’d love to explore this, but I’m not good with technology…”

Maybe the question isn’t “Do I know enough?”

Maybe it’s:

“Am I willing to learn?”

👇 Tell me honestly — is technology one of the things holding you back?

Not everyone who enters your life is meant to stay. But almost everyone leaves you with something.

Some people bring happiness.
Some bring experiences.
Some teach you lessons you never expected to learn.
And some leave you with memories you’ll carry forever.

Looking back, I’ve learned that even the difficult people and difficult seasons can shape us.

You don’t have to blame them.
You can simply take the lesson and keep moving forward. ❤️

What’s one lesson life has taught you that you’re grateful for today?

👇 Share it in the comments. Someone may need to hear it.

After 40 years of a corporate career , I learned something about experience…

The older I get, the more I appreciate something I didn’t fully understand when I was younger:

Experience is an asset.

The problems I’ve solved.
The people I’ve worked with.
The difficult conversations.
The decisions I’ve made.
The mistakes.
The successes.
The lessons.

At the time, they were simply part of my career.

But looking back, I realize they were building something much more valuable:

Wisdom. Perspective. Confidence, Purpose

So if you’re 50+ and wondering if you still have something valuable to offer…

Don’t underestimate what you’ve already learned.

You may not be starting from scratch.
You may be starting from experience. ❤️

💬 What’s one thing your career has taught you that you could never have learned from a textbook?

WHAT IF RETIREMENT ISN’T JUST ABOUT WHAT YOU’VE SAVED… BUT WHAT YOU CAN STILL BUILD?

For years, we’ve been told to focus on saving enough for the future.

And yes, saving matters.

But as women 50+, I think we should also be asking ourselves a different question:

“What can I build with all the experience, knowledge and wisdom I’ve gained?”

A new skill.
A new purpose.
A new direction.
Maybe even a digital business that grows with you over time.

For me, reinvention isn’t about starting over.

It’s about creating more choices for the years ahead — while still enjoying the life we have today.

More time with family.
More experiences.
More purpose.
And perhaps something meaningful to leave behind.

So I’m curious…

If you could build something new in this next chapter of your life, what would it be?

WHAT IF YOU STOPPED DOUBTING THE WOMAN YOU’VE BECOME? ❤️

At 50+, you’ve already lived, learned, loved, overcome and grown.

Don’t look at this chapter as starting over.

You’re starting from experience.

You are worthy.
You are capable.
You are enough.
And there is still so much ahead of you.

As Dr. Seuss said:

“There’s no one alive who is you-er than you!”

What’s one word that describes the woman you are today? 👇

You can love your career and still wonder what's next.

I’ve been thinking about something lately.

Sometimes we assume that if we’re successful in our career, we must want to keep doing exactly the same thing forever.

But that’s not necessarily true.

You can be proud of what you’ve accomplished…
…..and still wonder what the next chapter might look like.

Not because something is wrong.

Because you’re changing.

Your priorities change.

Your interests change.

And sometimes the definition of success changes too.

Have you ever caught yourself thinking:

“What do I want the next chapter of my life to look like?”

Tell me “YES” if you’ve had that thought. 👇
