It’s domestic violence awareness month.

With the recent release of names regarding the 7 rapists at Cornell University (and 57 other men in a group chat), I just need to say that I am appalled, heartbroken, and angry. I am so sorry to the woman who endured this pain, and I want you to know that I and so many others stand behind you.

Without going into detail, I myself as long as nearly every single woman I have in my life, have been sexually assaulted at least once.

The fact that this conversation has never fu***ng stopped happening, and men have continued getting away with their sick, disgusting behavior is VILE. I am so angry.

The woman who reported this unimaginable crime — SEVEN HOURS of being assaulted, drugged, and r***d — wants to remain unknown and these sick f***s are trying to reveal her identity. So f**k it, I’m Jane Doe. You’re Jane Doe. Every single fu***ng woman in my life is Jane Doe.

While I’m not completely sure how I can specific help the anonymous victim, I would like to raise awareness about her case and hold accountable the DA & Cornell University. I refuse to stay silent or complicit.

I will be planning a day to be located at Edgewater with a tent set up to hold a conversation and fundraiser for those who have experienced something similar to yet another woman being r***d and abused by men. I will have ready petitions against the university and DA to sign. I will also be accepting donations to take to women’s shelters in Cleveland. If you are unable to make a physical donation, I will set up a payment form and use that money to purchase items myself.

I’ll be brining some snacks and drinks to share as well. Survivors, friends, supporters are welcome. In all of this disgrace and fear, community is the strongest force. Updated information will be available on this page, so please keep an eye out ❤️
