We’re celebrating one whole year of Courtney being part of RAEVA Mane Street Oasis! 🤍

Courtney came to me fresh out of school, ready to learn, grow, and start building her career behind the chair. What makes this one extra special to me is that while she was figuring out her first year as a stylist, she was also right there with me while I was figuring out my first year as a salon owner. 😂

She has been here through so much of the chaos, changes, new ideas, figuring things out as we go, changing things again, and everything that comes with building a new business. Through all of it, Courtney has been so flexible and willing to just roll with it. She’s helped wherever she was needed, supported me and RAEVA in more ways than she probably even realizes, and has truly been part of building what this salon is becoming.

At the same time, I’ve gotten to watch her grow so much behind the chair. Building her confidence, growing her clientele, pushing herself, and continuing to perfect her craft.

Starting a business is messy, and that first year comes with A LOT of learning. Having people beside you who believe in what you’re building and are willing to grow with you means more than I can explain.

Courtney, thank you for sticking with me through all the crazy of this first year, for always being willing to help, and for trusting me enough to be part of your first year behind the chair too. 🤍

For the last few years, KCC has been built one loaf, one market, one porch pickup, and one conversation at a time.

We've baked from our home, delivered to our wholesale partners, met so many of you at farmers markets, and watched this little bakery become something we could have only dreamed about.

Now it's time for the next chapter.

KCC Sourdough Bakery & Kitchen is coming to Olde Towne Elkhorn.

This space isn't just about opening a storefront. It's about creating a place that feels like home. A place where you can stop in for fresh sourdough, grab breakfast on your way to work, meet a friend over a bagel, pick up lunch, or simply be part of a community that believes good food brings people together.

When we started looking for a permanent home, location mattered. We wanted to stay close to the community that first believed in us while making KCC more accessible for everyone across Bennington, Elkhorn, Omaha, Valley, Waterloo, and beyond. Olde Towne Elkhorn felt like the perfect fit, a place with history, heart, and a community that values supporting small businesses.

This is so much bigger than a bakery to us. It's the beginning of a place where neighbors become friends, where milestones are celebrated over fresh bread, where you'll always be greeted by a familiar face, and where community comes first.

There is still plenty of work to do before we welcome you through our doors, but we couldn't wait to finally share the news!

Over the coming weeks, we'll be bringing you along behind the scenes as we transform this space into something we've dreamed about for a long time, a bakery built for community. Built for gathering. Built for slowing down. Built for you.

Thank you for every preorder, every market visit, every recommendation to a friend, every loaf you've taken home, and every word of encouragement you've shared along the way. You believed in KCC long before we had a storefront, and because of you, this dream is becoming a reality.
