Glenda discovered her deep love for stained and fused glass more than 20 years ago. Drawn to the natural world, playful textures, and dancing light, she embraces the mindful, meditative rhythm that goes into cutting, fusing, and shaping every piece by hand—watching raw sheets of glass transform into radiant art as the sun catches them.

From sun-drenched floral panels and layered birch tree woodland scenes to delicate suncatchers, her work brings an uplifting, cheerful glow to any window or cozy home corner.

Soft landscapes, delicate details, and everyday joy. Today, we are so excited to introduce you to Alex, the wonderful artist and illustrator behind Alex Paints Things!

With a decade of creative practice behind her, Alex creates heartfelt acrylic and watercolor paintings inspired by peaceful scenery, quiet botanical moments, and the simple beauty of nature. Alongside her traditional artwork, she turns her original digital illustrations into the sweetest stickers, bookmarks, and stationery designed to bring a little extra happiness to your everyday routine.

Much of her inspiration comes from quiet moments and walks around the lake near her home in Massachusetts with Emma, her beloved 11-year-old fluffy chihuahua! 🐾

Join us on Monday, October 5th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Variegated Roots for a Beginner Pouch Bagmaking Class hosted by Suzanne from !

If you know how to turn on your machine and sew a straight line, you can make this pouch! Suzanne will walk you through installing zippers and creating clean boxed corners so you leave with a gorgeous, finished bag.

From childhood fossil hunts in upstate New York with her father to standing in awe beneath towering dinosaur skeletons at the Museum of Natural History, Jessica has always felt a deep pull toward the natural world. Today, that lifelong obsession lives on through her thoughtfully curated collection of authentic fossils, raw mineral specimens, and one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry.

Much of her inspiration strikes on long, quiet walks with her rescued foxhound, Ringo. Jessica is especially drawn to stones and fossils that are imperfect, textured, and steeped in ancient history—transforming prehistoric shark teeth, ammonites, and gemstones into wearable relics and breathtaking home accents.
