September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. ๐Ÿ’š

A spinal cord injury may change the way you live, but it does not have to define how you live.

After my injury, I had to learn how to rebuild my life in ways I never imagined. There were days I questioned my purpose, my future, and who I was going to become. But somewhere along the way, I realized something important:

Life goes on. And I intend to LIVE it.

I choose to show up. I choose to dream bigger. I choose to laugh, love, travel, compete, advocate, work, and continue becoming the best version of myself.

I donโ€™t live this life because itโ€™s always easy. I live it because itโ€™s mine. And I live it for myself, my friends and for my little family who reminds me every day that there is still so much life left to experience. โค๏ธ

My wheelchair is part of my story, but it is not the end of my story.

To anyone living with a spinal cord injury: your life may look different than you imagined, but different doesnโ€™t mean less. Keep going. Keep dreaming. Keep living. Your best chapters may still be ahead of you. โ™ฟ๏ธ๐Ÿ’š

This September, letโ€™s not just raise awareness. Letโ€™s raise expectations for what life after spinal cord injury can look like.
