Happy 2nd Birthday to our Sweet Potato! 🐾🎂

Hello, Potato’s mommy here.

This Sunday, our beloved shop greeter turns 2, so here are a few things you might not know about him:

🐾 He’s a professional shoe collector and will happily relocate your footwear to his bed for safekeeping.

❤️ He loves children and can spot them from a mile away.

🧸 His best friend is a giant stuffed bear named Bear Bear, who travels downstairs when we get home and back upstairs at bedtime. Their relationship is… close. I’ll leave it at that. 😂

🌲 He loves the forest, kayaking, adventures, and being anywhere we are.

🏡 Grandma and Grandpa’s house is his happy place: gardening, snuggles, playtime, and full-force zoomies.

🐶 His brother Oliver is his favorite playmate, and he remains convinced Eulabee and Willow will eventually surrender to his charms.

But my favorite thing about Potato is his gentle heart.

For all his enthusiastic greetings and occasional demands for attention, he is the sweetest, most loving boy. And one of the greatest joys of opening Sweet Sprig on Jay Street has been watching him become part of our little downtown community. He has regular visitors, favorite customers, and people who stop in just to see him.

Two years ago, I had no idea how much joy one little dog could bring into my life.

Happy birthday, Potato. Thank you for the adventures, the snuggles, the laughs, and for making every day a little more interesting.

If you’re in the shop this weekend, be sure to wish him a happy birthday. He accepts pets, compliments, and undivided attention. 🐾💛

I have an important shop update.

Mom has been bringing in LOTS of new fall stuff, and as Manager, I have been forced to inspect all of it.

New clothes? Very cozy. Would lie on them.

New blankets? Excellent. Obviously mine.

New mugs? Cannot drink from them, which seems unfair.

New vases, rugs and housewares? I don’t really understand decorating, but I have sniffed everything and approve.

Anyway, Sweet Sprig is looking VERY fall right now, and I think you should come shopping.
